Our Pre-K program is designed to meet the needs of children aged 4 and 5 preparing to enter kindergarten the following year. Our Pre-k class uses the Open Court thematic literature based Reading Readiness Program. Our Math Program teaches children hands on experiences with mathematical concepts and logic.

• We will start the reading process with sound differentiation, identifying and naming some upper and lower case letters, understanding word meanings and increasing vocabulary while Identifying the beginning and end of a story.
• In mathematics we will be recognizing patterns, sort objects by one attribute (shape, color, size, weight, length), building a concept of numbers and counting to discuss quantity.
• During science we will seek information through observation and exploration, Identify earth materials based on their physical properties, Identify celestial objects, describe living and non-living things and recognize objects that make different sounds.
• We will expand on social studies by Identifying and using maps and globes, distinguish among past, present and future, Identifying forms of transportation roles of family members and similarities and differences in people and families.
• In christian education we will develop an understanding of God in our lives, by listening and talking about stories from the Bible and learning to be kind and loving to others.
